Wisdom & Regular Teeth Extractions

Wisdom teeth, also known as the third molars, are the last set of molars to erupt. Because most people do not have enough room for their wisdom teeth, these teeth have a higher risk of becoming impacted, causing pain, swelling, and decay, among other concerns. Therefore, it is ideal to remove wisdom teeth in the late teen to early adult years when the eruption phase begins.

As a last resort for treating a dental injury or addressing tooth decay and other issues, you may need regular teeth extractions. This is a common oral surgical procedure that is performed with the use of a local anesthetic for most extractions.
