Self-Litigating Braces Benefits
Self-ligating braces are placed on the teeth in the same way conventional braces are. However, rubber bands are no longer necessary to move the arch wire slowly into place during the straightening process. Instead, the self-ligating braces have special clips that guide the arch wire into place. The self-ligating clips move the arch wire more efficiently, as there is no additional friction caused by the rubber band sliding over each tooth.
